Vibration Assisted Liposuction (VAL) is the newest liposuction technique to enter this fast paced market. Dr. Bill Johnson of Innovations Medspa in Dallas, TX has recently introduced Vibration Assisted Liposuction to the United States. This procedure differs from traditional methods by using a cannula activated by air pressure. The air pressure provides a vibrating motion, or “nutation,” which moves the tip in a circular displacement, thereby allowing more effective removal of fat and easier sculpting. The 10Hz vibration frequency brings about endorphin release during the procedure, increasing patient comfort. Furthermore, VAL enhances specialty sculpting in abdominal procedures.
