The "Tamara Tuck" - One Patient's Story of Facial Microliposuction

Rebecca L. Euwer, MD
Dallas, TX

Dr. Euwer and Tamara agreed to simply do micro-liposuction to Tamara's neck. The results were so good that it appeared almost as though she had a face lift. People constantly asked her if she had lost weight or got a haircut. For many patients, this delicate facial liposuction is enough to achieve superb results.

Being friends with Dr. Euwer obviously helped Tamara make her decision to go forward with the neck lift, but she says what really sealed the deal was the professionalism and brilliance of the rest of the staff at Dallas Derm. Her only concern was the anesthesia, which turned out to be "no big deal" when it came down to it.

The highlight of her transformation was running into someone she hadn't seen in 15 years, who couldn't stop commenting on how great she looked. At some point, Tamara says she'll get her eyes refreshed, either with a traditional blepharoplasty or perhaps with new Eyes by Thermage. Tamara's advice to other women in their forties and fifties is that "the key to staying young is to honestly evaluate yourself in the mirror every single day and be truthful with yourself."

Tamara had her neck lift on a Friday and was back up and running by Monday. Three months later when she turned 50, she looked fantastic, and now three years after her procedure, both Dr. Euwer and Tamara agree that the results have held up very well.

A friend loved Tamara's new appearance so much that she composed new lyrics to the song King Tut based on the theme "The Tamara Tuck," which are printed on the wall of Dr. Euwer's office if you ever get a chance to stop by there.
